Last Night in London

Our last night in London was spent with some friends. We joined Warwick and friend, Ashley, for drinks and dinner at Covent Gardens. When we were there, it happened to be the Olivier Award Night (like the Tony's in the US) where they showcase the best theatre elements. We watched a bit of "Billy Elliott", "Chicago" and the singer from "Wicked".

Covent Garden has a nice piazza in the middle with restaurants and shops surround the square.

We didn't ride the hop on-hop off bus in London but these double deckers were everywhere. We managed to navigate London's bus and tube (subway) although it wasn't as easy as expected. There was construction at three of the nearby stops by our hotel so we had to take the train part way and transfer to a bus or taxi.  The buses are sometimes not as convenient because all lines don't go to the intended destination. That day, we walked over 2 miles... great job, Russ!
For dinner, we ate at an Indian restaurant called Dishoom, which was fine but the sign outside the door was a bit strange.
After dinner, we walked around town and took a later bus back to our hotel.  Next time when we visit London, we'll go see a musical.
