For many years, we've missed 4th of July with the Quinn's. This year, we were fortunate enough to join the fun. At 7:30 am, Lisa, Maddie, Shannon, Georgia and I ran/walked the 5km race. It was my first outdoor run since knee surgery last August and it was fine.
We were happy to see Russ, Mike and Ryan at the finish line.
We walked to El Toro High School for their pancake breakfast. The whole family joined!
After breakfast, we lined up on Lake Forest Road for the 4th of July parade. We were introduced to our newest niece, Mia, who is now 8 months old.
Shannon and Georgia were excited to see the parade.
With the cloud cover, this year's 2.5 hour parade was nice and not too hot.
The parade featured lots of cars, like this one which reminded me of the movie Grease's "Greased Lightening!"
Mia loves her Uncle Russ!
Uncle Sam with snoopy on his scooter was a hit.
There were shetland ponies in the parade, including this one.
We liked this Golden Retriever with he red, white and blue painted tail. Her coloring is similar to Harley's but this one has the "fat head", instead of the pin head.
These senoritas were dressed so colorfully!
